So since they are reprinting the Eldrazi gods in MM2 would it be a good assumption that they won't show up in this set?

Or maybe a different version of them, or a set of different maybe more powerful eldrazi?

Maybe, as for the first question, MaRo said on Blogatog that if they redid the Eldrazi they likely wouldn't have Anihilator because it is hard to develop and is hard to incorporate beyond 8+ drops

Doesn't stop Wizards from making it. I'd love to see Slivers vs Eldrazi, but I also love playing against Sliver decks, love to play against hate decks and live challenges. I think the only decks I hate are counter/control. But if magic was meant to be easy, everyone would play it

Well it aint like were "Battle for Zendikar"ing against Bronze Sables, they already own Tarkir and M15 so they settled those two planes...

I never saw quite how powerful Eldrazi can be. I only had 1 card and that was Ulamog's crusher. However, I've been playing Slivers since I first learned MTG so I really think Slivers would win. It would be long and arduous though.

As far as storyline is concerned Eldrazi would win hands down. As far as cards are concerned Eldrazi would win. {Emmrakul the Aoens Torn} gets through {Sliver Hivelord} quite nicely.

However decks are a different story. If you counted just in flavour cards for each deck Eldrazi would be much too slow. However Tron is a Modern deck that places in tournaments quite often. Haven't seen a sliver deck do so.

Gotta say if they bring back a variation of or annihilator ... then I think it would be an awesome thing if they made a way for the sac to be reversed like spell say

I meant a variation of the idea the may fit into all the colors bc WotC does like to throw weird cards in just for draft purposes and if the eldrazi do end up with an annihilator like ability, then they'll most likely throw in some odd cards only useful in draft purposes... It's just the way they are lol
