Even though most of us new this was happening, it's still very exciting.

I figured it was gonna happen as well but awesome to see it actually Announced lol

Dragons vs Eldrazi!!!

Agrus Kos, Enforcer of Truth

I would like to point out that the Eldrazi probably won't be the eldrazi we know and love, MaRo has said Annihilator is very unlikely to return and if we got new Eldrazi they would be different cards.

This will also be the first of the 2 set block cycle won't it?

I doubt it'll be a better Emmy. Wizards isn't advocating printing more new stuff at the power levels of those cards. And let's be honest, none of us want annihilator in standard.

Yes

So better Emmy?
Possibly. If Emmy is still a beast and doesn't have the shuffle clause, it could be better, especially in reanimator

With this being the first 2 block set.

So my speculations for battle for zendikar block include the following:

Enemy fetches
Eldrazi
Full art lands
4 planeswalkers -
Nissa
Ugin
Sorin
Nahiri

Emrakul the corrupted.  16
When you cast him {time walk}
Flying
Trample
Annihilator 6
Pro colored spells
Infect

Power and Toughness: 0/1

All you did was tack on infect and one extra mana.

I loved the Annihilator mechanic. I could see them bringing it back and building a new mechanic to counteract it. Idk what, but if it's supposed to be Eldrazi vs. whoever has beef with them now, it would reason that the Eld would be similar to how we remember them, and there will be better ways to defend against it. Maybe cards that can't be sacrificed, or enchantments that block sacrificing. Imagine being able to put down global "permanents can't be sacrificed" and watching sac heavy decks crumble

I hate hate cards. {Leyline of Sanctity}. {Rest in Peace}. I don't like somebody dropping a card and then your deck doesn't work because of it. I don't like being on either side of that equation. That's part of the reason Modern is having issues. Too many decks that are just near impossible to beat without boarding in hate cards. Then it's no fun playing against them either way.

Doesn't stop Wizards from making it. I'd love to see Slivers vs Eldrazi, but I also love playing against Sliver decks, love to play against hate decks and live challenges. I think the only decks I hate are counter/control. But if magic was meant to be easy, everyone would play it
