This week wasn't really supposed to be spoiler week. They decided to release the evergreen announcement and the 30 card deck lists ahead of time so everyone would have a chance to come to terms with the news about prowess/menace/Scry.

How do you guys feel about the change? I'm personally ambivalent (mostly, I'm pretty stoked about scry being evergreen), but when I read the article by MaRo about why they made the changes the reasons seem really weak. "What do you do if your opponent's creatures have landwalk and you have the appropriate land. Not play basic land?" I was thinking "uh...kill it with something?" Same with intimidate--seems the reasoning is "sometimes it's really good and sometimes it's really bad." To me that makes for interesting deckbuilding decisions.

The thing with limited is that removal is scarce. One {Krenko's Inforcer} can and will win you a game sometimes, and there's nothing like losing to that. I personally always played red/artifacts and backed off from blue during M15 because I was sick of getting island walk/intimidated to death. R/B were the colors to play.

Real or fake?

If so it is very convincing
The set symbol, lettering, numbering and format look legit, art is unizque (not from elsewhere) though the primary art looks odd. and the font for the flip side leaves me feeling like it is slightly off...
Well sorry to pull this back up again but Mari may have confirmed the front side of the Chandra on his Tumblr

We got walker flip cards. Jace has a milling ultimate, meh. His other abilities are cool but why dat ult? Chandra seems ok might be good. Nissa does not seem good to me but I like the fact that she filters when she enters as a creature. Maybe some broken way to just keep playing her to thin your deck. And an alternate to {cyclonic rift}. Edh just got a little worse.

Preorders for lily are already over 20...

Can we talk about how the jace walker's second ability is a Snapcaster mage?

I like them. And yeah, snappy for 3 loyalty.
Just too bad you can't reset their loyalty that easily. If you flicker them, they return as creatures right?

On another note, is it too late to call {giant spider} is in this set?

So far I can see, if Chandra doesn't cost too much to cast, adding both of them to my Izzet burn deck. Chandra's abilities makes it so I don't have to focus on players with like any of my burn spells and the Jace helps me use cards in my graveyard yet. If the theory is true where they're trying to make all 3 cmc walkers for TL in this set, then Chandra will be like {2}{R} for a really viable walker. As much as others are groaning about having to transform them, Jace's ability is really good card draw which then if I discard a higher cmc burn spell I can use it later with his -3. Chandra is a little dumb in the sense that I ping with her, cast a {Shock}, ping, {Lightning Bolt}, ping, {Searing Blood} and suddenly I transform her and do 2 more damage. On 4th turn I do 13 damage- Assuming that she will follow the 3 cmc trend in this set. Mmm, so good.

Looked this up as well for ya:
110.6b Permanents enter the battlefield untapped, unflipped, face up, and phased in unless a spell or ability says otherwise.
