You might need something to protect the laboratory maniac from removal, since everyone is drawing so much of their deck they will find lots of removal to kill it.

What do you suggest?

Don't play modern actually so I have no idea :( sorry, better leave that question to someone who plays more competitively than I do. Maybe some equipment that gives hexproof/shroud?

First of all, I'd use {Jace, Memory Adept} instead of {Jace Beleren}. JMA's 0 ability is pretty nice. I'd also maybe use {Apostle's Blessing} or something like that for protection

If he was using big Jace, why not just mill the opponent? As for the deck, WAY too slow. You have no way of interacting with Opp before turn 5 except the Kami. A lot of decks can kill you by then. Other than that, it doesn't do anything. You're really just hoping to take enough extra turns to mill yourself, which seems bad if they're running counterspells or hand disruption.
Also, {{Slaughter Games}} out of the board means you lose...
It's not meant to be competitive, just fun. :)

I mean, JMA probably mills yourself faster than Beleren.

In that case, {{Panoptic Mirror}}
Definitely going to add that.

I played against this same thing, but with some counters with my tron deck and it won.  Those counters man...
That's where I got the idea. It's a really fun deck.

THIS DECK IS SO FUN TO PLAY WITH!!!

I've played against this kind of deck before and been surprised at how well it works. Those who say this is too slow miss the fact that the ability to make your opponent skip turn four/five with {cryptic command} actually makes this deck viable. Baby Jace is a ton better than {Jace Memory Adept}. The only thing you're missing is a one-of {Elixir of immortality} in case they try to kill your maniac during your upkeep.

I'll definitely add it. The deck gets rolling turn 4-6 more often than not.

How many laboratory maniac should I have? 4 is too many, but if I have too few, it's at the bottom of my deck and I could accidentally deck myself.

I would go three if you don't want too many. Without enough, there is still a chance to deck yourself out and this way you have a better chance to play them without being flooded.
