Dragon's Maze prerelease

So. It sounds different then most tournaments. What will the prerelease be like?

I don't know but im intrigued by the maze part. I may spend the $30 for prerelease just to see what it's all about.

Yea, im interested to. I heard MaRo used to find ways to make puzzles with various combinations of cards or something like that. So obviously there are a lot more ways to play then just the ways were used to. Speaking of which, does anyone know if there selling the archnemises decks? Or if there still doing that anymore? I want to try that format

I guess it's kinda like Innistrad and DA, you have a chance to get an extra rare with that slot.

I would think 1/21.  Ten gates, ten shocks, one mythic rare. Those are the options.

The odds are likely working by a ratio, not by sheer number of land cards with equal amounts of all. It's most likely going to contain a land of your guild's color. 20/25 packs will contain your Guildgate, 1/25 will contain {Thespian Stage}, 1/25 will contain {Transguild Promenade}, 2/25 will contain your shock, and 1/25 will contain the new mythic. Or something like that.

Anyone have any guess as to who is allied with who? I feel like each guild will be associated with 2 other guilds (example: boros allied with azorious and izzet). My guesses are

•boros and azorious- army+law
•boros and izzet- izzet made those soldiers for boros
•izzet and simic- both based in science
•simic and selenstra- simic going more natural than they used to be (at least I thought I read that somewhere)
•rakdos and gruul- both are wild and crazy
•rakdos and dimir- no clue why only thought is that dimir could be manipulating the cultists
•orzhov and golgari- both deal in death (soul vs body)
•dimir and azorious- corruption of lawmakers
•golgari and gruul- outcasts in a sense I guess
•gruul and selenstra- united under goal of nature taking over

I really hope they make a tricolor legendary or two based around the other color combos. (I really think a different general for RWU and BRW)

I want another legend for each guild though. That's going to be one of my selling points, even if they are not mythic and meh compared to the leaders

I'd like to see Borkdos,  but that probably won't happen

If each guild has the same guild paired with it. I think we can figure out which ones are paired with which through process of elimination

Simic seems to be leaning towards its green side (story wise) so a pairing with izzet might not be a possibility. Then again, izzet seems more red than blue. And there both science guilds so...

I really want Azorius or Izzet as the Dimir's secret ally, the other RtR guilds aren't very fun to play for me.
