I love the land idea so much more trade banter when you get the extra shocklands lol

I am actually kinda disappointed by the land thing. I've been trading going for RTR and GTC to get my shocks, and guildgates were already plentiful enough. I'd rather have full arts or something new.

I like the idea...but full art guild gates would be better. I mean doing things like that do not affect WOTC whatsoever. All it does is drumb up more buzz. I like the idea of no basic but really wish it was a full art guild gate.

I'm surprised more people aren't excited for what basically sounds like the creation of the wedges, with probably the creation of some kind of  {City of Brass} type mythic rare and probably the ramp up to the next (tricolor themed) set

That's what I was thinking. A land that taps for any color.

Wally

A card that says 'if you control 10 guildgates you win the game'

It could come into play tapped. Send a land back to your hand when it comes into play. Deal 4 damage to you when it comes into play. And/or not untap during your next untap step when it's tapped.

My point is, it will have some major nerf to it

Obviously. I just didnt bother trying to figure it out past the "tap for any color" part hahah.

If it doesn't have a major drawback, it will most definitely be a mythic rare and highly sought after even with a simple drawback...or it could be a land that costs mana to play. Of course that would make one gigantic fat mess of the rules

Well we already know its at mythic level. That's what we've been speculating about. This blocking being all about multicolor, that's why im leaning towards a {city of brass}-esque card. Maybe not a reprint (is it on the reserved list?) but something similar.

So does this mean that it will be possible to open two shocklands in "Dragon's Maze" packs? 'Cause that would be aaaweesoomee

I don't think so. Instead of a basic land, you'll get a guildgate, a shockland, or the new mythic rare land. Normal Dragon's Maze rares will be in the rare slot.

So. It sounds different then most tournaments. What will the prerelease be like?

I don't know but im intrigued by the maze part. I may spend the $30 for prerelease just to see what it's all about.
