I don't know what's wrong with me

I depress myself quite often with similar thoughts.. Like what if something happens to my mom while she's out or if my sister gets into a horrible car accident while she's out and about..... Aaaand I'm sad.

😭

It's natural, everyone will die eventually, the thoughts about myself dying don't upset me actually.

If nothing really bad happens, the progress of technology will make you live forever if you are only 13 now.
I bet you believe Obama created Ebola, dontcha ;)

What made you say that?

Both that and the whole "science will make you live forever within a few decades" are conspiracy theories.

Fun fact: a reporter interviewed everyone that survived jumping off the Golden Gage Bridge for suicidal reasons (a surprisingly large amount). Every one said that halfway to two thirds of the way down, they realized every problem that made them jump could be easily fixed. Every single one.

That's actually incredible!! Do you have a link I'd love to re as that :D

He only interviewed 7/10, but my point stands- every one realized that their problems could be fixed and they shouldn't die.

They do say that jumping is the worst as you regret your decision halfway down and you can't stop yourself
Unless you don't regret it. I'm betting a lot don't.

I have a different experience than most, it seems.

When I was very young (about 6) I attended my first funeral. It was for my grandfather. Since then I've witnessed the aftermath of a great grandmother, grandmother, two aunts, a cousin (he was very young), and two uncles (one great uncle) passing away. (Every time I try to remember all of them I forget one or two.)

Needless to say I've thought about death, a lot. Every time somebody passes away it brings back all the memories.

So what does that mean for me? I'm not sure. I've never cried at a funeral. I'm often lacking an emotional response at all, it's like I'm in shock or it hasn't settled in yet, but it never changes past that. Or there's  jealousy and/or anger. (depression does that to you.) I've come to the conclusion that I'm an emotionless prick and though I say this I'm truly not okay with it.

But what about my death? Well, I'm pretty content with it. I even look forward to it. As a Christian I can't wait to go to Heaven, as that's what I believe will happen when I die.

I have morbid daydreams where my family and friends die in all sorts of ways. I don't know why, but I do. They don't really freak me out.

I have to say that you react similarly to tragedy to me. My dad was arrested recently for breaking his parole, and I still have no idea what to think about how I reacted. Quite honestly I had no time to react as he left way too much stuff to do. Moving to my mom's place has been the hardest part as I am chafing under the rules of mom.
Things are looking up as I have a steady job and am helping around the house again.

Well, with that description you sound like a sociopath. I'm not joking.

Wow. Sounds like hell. I need a job, mom won't shut up about it.

Sociopath and Psychopath are used interchangeably. That is incorrect. A sociopath is someone who doesn't or rarely does feel human emotions.

It's not as bad as it sounds. My mom and I learned how to get along all over again, and I am going to finish school on time. The light at the end of this did cause my family to get close again so it's something...
