so I am a 13 year old, and I am thinking about the future and I am getting seriously freaked out.  I am imagining living with out my parents and that scares me, my parents dying that seriously freaks me out, and me dying I just can not imagine this.  All this has gotten me thinking what is the point of life, people will always be sacred, afraid, and the biggest thing is that people die. I just relized why life is so pressios because it happens in a blink of an eye, and now I can't comfort myself with these thoughts in my brain. I just needed to say this to get it out of my head. But question have any of you experienced anything like this? Sorry for the grim and pessimistic post.

Don't worry. As you said life is in the blink of an eye so use your time wisely. Have fun be a good kid and most importantly kick ass at magic lol :D

Depends on your circumstances. Death is not an ending, but a continuation of life. Plus it doesn't bother me as much as other people, as my entire life has been surrounded by Death, and that I've had two near-Death experiences, one involving a pretty bad car accident when I was 19 and another with I was 24 when a mortar landed 20 feet from me and didn't explode.  However, there is too much to write on the subject here.

I'd like to point out- you're 13. None of these things will likely happen anytime soon. Your parents may die when you're in your 50s, you may die in your 70s, you probably won't live in their basement. Statistically, that's about what'll happen.

Like it has been said before everybody experiences this. I'm a senior in high school, I'm freaking out about where ill be in a year, I've also thought about myself dying too, it was  pretty tough to get through, but I had a trusted friend I could talk too and I got through. Here's a quote from bilbo Baggins about the future

"It's a dangerous business, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no telling where you might be swept off to."
                     -Bilbo Baggins

Just keep your head up and make sure you don't get entangled with the little things.

You know what I love about life? In the time it took me to type this my fingers have moved in many ways I may never see them move again. I have also used a minute of my own time of which we have precious little of to write a message for a forum whose only confirmation of existence is that I am currently posting a note on it.

Fun fact: a reporter interviewed everyone that survived jumping off the Golden Gage Bridge for suicidal reasons (a surprisingly large amount). Every one said that halfway to two thirds of the way down, they realized every problem that made them jump could be easily fixed. Every single one.

If nothing really bad happens, the progress of technology will make you live forever if you are only 13 now.

He only interviewed 7/10, but my point stands- every one realized that their problems could be fixed and they shouldn't die.

They do say that jumping is the worst as you regret your decision halfway down and you can't stop yourself
