Plus, if bant has psychic spiral, esper has one and a counterspell to go with it. That's why I mainboard spiral in my bant deck. My meta is so controlly it's disgustig. Last fnm I accidentiay left my sb at home and my deck was pre-boarded against control, weilding 2 spirals mainboard, and that earned me 2nd. It's all about who has more spirals, at the end of the day. I hate how control has been reduced to milling with a spell land. And playing creatures. Guh

Zendikar already made lands control's best wincon. {Celestial colonnade} is a very loved win condition. My esper list's runs {elixir of immortality} for many reasons, counter mill being one of them.

It may just be the metagame where I play but I am the only one playing esper. So harly any of the other decks run anti-mill plans other than witch bane orb. Planar cleansing just takes it out.

I haven't been to FNM in months, I imagine my Esper build would do pretty well considering I'm certain most of the kids can't afford my mana base, let alone the most of the functional cards.

Not sure why bust esper has sort of droped of the map(generally speaking). I still think it is one of the best decks in the format.

It's pretty freaking good. {Assemble the Legion} with counter spell back up and fast aggro with a well timed {boros charm}, {golgari charm}, or other well timed anti wrath does a number on it though.

This is true but i find than planar {Planar Cleansing} does some nice work and so does {Unsummon}. But boros charm is probably the worst put of those you listed.

Danny and I recorded esper vs. bant today. It should be up really soon if it isnt already. Im not super happy with the video, but we want to get the videos up for now. We can make them pretty and better organized in later videos.
