Rules / Re: Mimic vat nonsense

Yes he will stay. {Mimic Vat} will create a delayed trigger for the next end step. If it is your end step, you can use {Sundial of the Infinite} in response to that delayed trigger to end your turn and not have to worry about that trigger again.

The sword and shield next to P/T was exclusive to the three Portal sets which were designed to teach new players how to play. Even though I've been playing since Ice Age, I had no idea how combat worked until Portal came out a couple years later so I remember the sword and shield helping me learn. I also remember getting power and toughness confused afterwards on non-Portal cards for awhile because they didn't have the sword and shield on them.

Though the tokens might be identical, the sources that created them are different. The original token was created from {Giantbaiting} and is affected by the delayed trigger of the card, but the second token is created from the source you populated it with, and since the populate card doesn't have the delayed trigger Giantbaiting has, it won't be affected by it.

What Taysby said. You'll notice the cards that do have that symbol all have some kind of function when it's in the graveyard and is not limited to just cards with flashback. {Glory} is a quick example of this.

Rules / Re: Illusionist's Bracers II
June 04, 2013, 04:13:59 AM
{Illusionist's Bracers} will copy only the effect side of the ability so you don't need to repay the cost again. Sacrificing a creature on {Arms Dealer} is part of the cost so you won't need to pay that part again for the copy. As long as that effect isn't a mana ability, you'll get it twice for a single cost.

I have 3 {Reshape} and 2 {Open the Vaults}. We do have a 4th Reshape but it's my brother's so I shouldn't try to trade it away without asking him first. I can try to convince him though. I loved playing my eggs deck years ago!

I'm mostly a fan of the 2D Zelda games. A Link to the Past is easily my favorite followed by Link's Awakening, Oracle of Ages, and Oracle of Seasons. The best Zelda game is obviously OoT though, but all of them are really good.

I'm probably closest to a timmy so that's what I voted for. But i can also fall under johnny or spike. But when i'm playing either of those roles, i'm usually still having a good time slinging my spells so.. Timmy!

Yep. That can definitely stop the combo. I meant my example as a situation where your opponent has any kind of hand remaining when they begin the combo.

If you try any conventional removal of a combo piece here, he can respond by discarding another card to Mind Over Matter to untap Temple Bell and keep the combo going, all while the removal ability is under it on the stack, never getting a chance to resolve.

One of the sure ways to stop this combo is to use a split second removal like {Wipe Away} or {Krosan Grip} so they cannot respond at all. I'm sure there are others but these are just some examples.

Rules / Re: Master of cruelties double strike
May 31, 2013, 11:59:38 PM
If a creature is blocked in combat, it remains blocked for the remainder of combat, even if the blocking creature is removed from combat. Your Master of Cruelties will still be considered blocked even though the creature that blocked it was killed by the first strike damage. So Master of Cruelties won't put your opponent to 1 through it's ability in this instance.
