Ok if you got ripped off by Kuberr here is what I want you all to do.
1. Look through your messages from him stating that he agrees and will send such and such.
2. Copy those messages, even if you have to do screenshots.
3. Send those messages to me through PM on here or email.
4. Give me another message that totals the entire trade with dollar amounts for each card.
PM me if you need my email and I will send it to you. Make any email to me as "Subject: Kuberr". I have his contact info from past trades and will research the local authorities in his area. I will put together a collection of evidence and contact the local authorities in his area.
Do this promptly so the process is not held up. I want to have everything ready to present by this Friday.......go!!!

Well I am very busy so if you can help anyway it would be great. Maybe find the police dept. info and give me a website link or phone number.
Keep in mind that I have nothing at stake here. Cept of course the vested interest of the users of this forum......which means a lot me ;) My point is that I will use my moderator status to initiate the conversation with the police department but it will come to a point where the police department will not want me involved since I have not been stolen from.....at which point you guys will need to take the reins for yourselves.
Do you guys have his IP/address? I'm going to check it on the other sites to see if he's banned there as well.

It runs very well. We had another case like this and everyone got there stuff back. We will pursue this and hopefully we will have a good outcome......I am optimistic.

I wrote that what he has done is considered theft and breach of written or verbal contract. I have given him one week to respond with either our cards returned, cash for the cards we sent to him, and/or his promised end of the trade. If no response is heard from him by then I informed him that Id be going to his and my local authorities with evidence of his crime.
If the total card value is worth over $500, if I'm not mistaken, it's a felony and he can go to jail for it.

I think it is a cumulative count, I can ask my lawyer friends from church the specifics but if someone breaks into multiple cars or houses, the dollar count keeps rising even if they stole petty amounts from each. I'm not a lawyer yet but I think it does add up.

It might not add up since every person he delt with is tec a diffrent contract so i think its a breach of contract not flat out theft. it could be all diffrent charges. Plus the crimes are in diffrent areas so that could come into play as well also there's other tricks he can use. To be honest unless you guys plan on getting a lawyer I don't see this going to far espicaly since he acted like an .rearexit. on all the posts he put up. No my dad is a lawyer it's a federal offense so as long as 500 was in America it counts and believe me speaking from me own end and what I have heard from others I am sure it was. If anything, best we can hope is knowing we just didn't accept the fact and might be compelled/pressured into doing the right thing. If Cltrn81 can maybe google his email and maybe see if he has a Facebook or other means of contact as well.
I don't want to get into the whole law thing. Cops have better things to do, like bust people for non-violent offences (like drugs) and serving the interests of corporations.

I'd at least let them decide if it's worth pursuing. It's not as though they have to pull out some crazy CSI stuff, you're giving them his name and address.

I think it's applicable considering his behavior in posts on the forum and his recent actions in trades.
His last login in was aug 1st, well into the discussions starting, people messaging him to ask, a threads appearing
My Reasons for trading were simple. He was trusted, he had something I wanted, I never had a problem with him, and at very least I imagined he at very least had respect for the game.
Long read but this is the email I just sent him:
Hey man I know you think you are going to get away with all this .... and you just might. But keep in mind that theft over $500 is a felony, committing a crime across state lines gives federal jurisdiction, and do you really think some card board is really worth that much risk? You may think that one occurence of theft over $500 is a felony and multiple occurences that add up to $500 are not a felony .... you would be wrong if you think this. Precedent's have been set for similar cases and they will total everything you stole and use that number to charge you with a felony. You also may think that the police department in say Pinal County Arizona will not care about our complaint .... and you may be right. But know this, I am organizing everyone to give me the list that you guys agreed to, copies of your PMs to prove your intent, and I will be presenting a ton of information already organized for them to look at. Now if you are a police officer and someone offers you a ton of organized evidence of a theft, regardless if it happend through the internet or not, wouldn't you at least look at it?

Crime has always evolved and police departments have evolved with them .... the internet is the new crime area and police departments are creating more and more cyber divisions so think what you want but I will try to find someone who will at least look at the evidence I have against you. I am a moderator on the forum and I have access to a lot more information than the normal user ...... hence the reason I have your email address ....... let's not forget IP addresses too :)

Maybe, but it looked like to me he got a lot worse the last couple weeks before he Houdini'd on you guys with your stuff. The troll warning surely cheesed him off, but I can't imagine it being a trigger for all this. At most just a straw on that camel's back.

From what I was told, he set up many low value trades and did them fast then did a ton of big trades in a short time after trust established and disappeared. Sounds like a set up scam, theft scheme to me.
Well, he'd been around for some time. He actually helped to create the Wall Games section, he had over 2000 posts and he did try to help some people with decks (in a Kuberr sort of way).
Not exactly "stick and move" behaviour.
I suspect that things were going decently, then he got frustrated, got a warning and figured "Screw this! If I'm going, I may as well burn this bridge and get some stuff before I get banned."

When I mentioned about the SCG Legacy Open in DC, I meant its likely he was there to compete. As such, if you have his name, you can see him listed as well as his deck. Not much help other than to see if he has the cards (not a guarentee, he could be running a deck without the high value cards). Then again, he should be back now if he flew back home (who in their right mind would drive from Arizona to Washington DC?).

Two and a half months seems like a VERY long time for a long con. Given his impulsive temperament, I think it was a knee-jerk reaction than a long-term insidious plot. But then, who but criminals know the minds of criminals? Batman, I suppose. ;)

He has a point those background checks on people are like 2 dollars and they give you EVERYTHING. But having someone knock at his door is something entirely new I think that'd freak him out that we could get to his house

There could be a number of reasons for his actions, but what we DO know is that he has started a large number of trades with many people and he has not contacted any of them to offer an explanation. We also know that he has been on this forum after people have PMed him.

There could be a number of reasons for his actions, but what we DO know is that he has started a large number of trades with many people and he has not contacted any of them to offer an explanation. We also know that he has been on this forum after people have PMed him.

Agreed! I tried trading with him only one time and he wanted to rip me off like almost 10 bucks cuz the cards I was trading were supposedly dropping in price. I knew he was not to be trusted.

I was the one who went out to his area but because of the holiday we could never hook up. I am very familiar with his home town having lived there myself. The police should be trustworthy if memory serves me correctly.
The only that is goin to be hard about getting the police involved is proving the cards are actually worth money. Cuz a cop is goin to look at it as he stole cardboard from someone. I honestly do not see police wasting there time and rescourses on a card theft. But that being said i am srry this happened to everyone and i do wish u all the best of luck.

True, I have a friend that is a cop where I live and he told me that u all have a case against him, cuz they r actually worth money and u can Infact prove that they r worth money. The police will get involved. It may not be on like their top of the list to do but they will do something about it.

Once I finish moving in to my dorm I planned on trying to start up some trades, and though this is discouraging, I'm still willing to give it a shot just cuz this far I have really enjoyed seeing a bunch of other people who enjoy the game this much

In all fairness, we have no concrete proof that they were one and the same, but a lot of circumstantial evidence.

I just got off the phone with Police Department in his jurisdiciton. I am not going to discuss all the details but I will just say it is good news and I am now even more optimistic than I was before.

Wow im glad to hear that. I really hope he gets whats coming to him. I didnt like him even from his first post. Always got a shady kinda feeling from him. When a previous incident happened, I found his girlfriend, mom, some potential other relatives. I considered sending his mom a little note likes of which might be had from a principal. Lol. It was a side arm though. Creeping isn't a hobby.
