Ok let me rephrase the question. How is it determined that some static abilities are triggered while others are not? Is there a ruling on this or is it done at R&D just to mess with and piss off players?

CR702 Keyword Abilities.
They certainly don't want to mess with players. Some abilities just don't make sense to stack. Trample-Trample, Flying-Flying, Hexproof-Hexproof. It really comes down to was the ability does. The list I have made at the top is taken directly from the Comprehensive Rule Book.
What happens if you have to enchant creatures on the same creature that both give the creature lifelink would you not then gain double from each instance of the enchantment
Ok here is my question and problem, how do certain static abilities get to be stackable but others don't? Ex. Exalted is stackable but lifelink is not?
Abilities like Exalted are triggered abilities, when X happens, put something on the stack. Lifelink is static, it changes how things happen. Typically, triggered abilities will not be redundant, but static and evasion abilities usually are.
Resolved. *gavel*
Bonus: Lifelink used to be triggered. Cards that use the lifelink-type ability but don't actually HAVE lifelink (Genju of the Fields for one) can stack since they trigger. So if you activate Genju three times, if it deals 2 damage, you'll gain 6 life. This is not true for regular lifelink. However, since lifelink doesn't trigger, you can the life right as the creature deals it's damage, before the state is checked.
Say you are at 2 life. Your opponent attacks with two Walking Dead (2/2). You block one with a Ajani's Sunstriker (2/2 lifelink). You would live since you would gain 2 life at the same time as the unblocked zombie mauls you.leaving you at two.
genius actually says the plains becomes "2/5 with 'lifelink'", so transforming him multiple times wouldn't make them multiple creatures, nor have multiple instances of the ability, would it?
Nope. When they created the lifelink template, they applied it to all the relevant cards in Oracle. If you check the Oracle wording, it does not say Lifelink so you can do this combo.

(also, it's in the specific card rulings )
What I am saying is, it will becomes a 2/5 WITH the effect. then you activate again, it will become 2/5 with a single stance of the effect again, won't it? Unless it said "becomes 2/5 and gets the effect", which it doesn't. I may be understanding wrong though...
