I enjoy opening packs dpi would say yes. But before you guys decide to buy on agree on the terms. Example you get your 18 packs and they get their or open them all and split them equally. I've seen kids get mad over boxes and argue/fight because someone pulled more mythics or money cards.

We would split the mythics and rares fairly for us both to agree so would be good :)  and if we both want it priority to one who pulled it unless it makes it unfair in total. Thanks anyway. We are planning on m14 booster box

Color me nostalgic, but since I've been getting into legacy and picking up old cards, I prefer the older border over the newer one. Anyone else feel the same way?

I feel the same way. In playing commander I've managed to pick up a good amount of older cards, and I gotta say, the more I look at them, the better I like the older borders.

Fenster

I dislike the old backgrounds... Especially black with the "parchment" textbox.

Mikefrompluto

I don't know. Maybe im just being a purist. I just prefer the old borders and the old artwork. Especially from the Odyssey and Onslaught blocks. And artifacts will always be brown to me!!!

Fenster

I wish the transition wasnt so abrupt but more a refreshed take on the old style.

Mikefrompluto

Yeah I agree. If it was a smoother transition, I may like it a little more.

Everything is closed here because of a snowstorm- and it's barely snowing! Every store even lolololz

Edit: there is an executive ban on driving at the moment. Overreaction city.

For a special tournament my friends are having, I need some Ravnica CoG stuff.  Now I'm trying to decide if I should spend the $9-$15 online per pack or trade, because were not allowed to buy singles for it.  Trading would be easier, but there are some other things I want that I don't want to trade for.  For example, I could really use 1 or 2 of Bob.  What do you guys think?  Spend the money when I get it or stick to trading?

Why can't you buy singles?

Just a little quirk to get people to use deck building skills rather than net decking and buying what they need.  If we need a good card, we have to take a chance with packs or find someone willing to trade at FNM or in our playgroup.
