That's not a instant I'm trying to figure out what card my freind dave used when I on my turn used {banefire} to deal him 19 damage which was just enough to put him at 0 because if there isn't one then he cheated and beat me so it wouldn't count

The only one I found was {tendrils of corruption} but that's only to creatures

It wasn't Tendrils because it is from M10. {Corrupt} is the closest to the parimeters you said (damage equal to swamps, you gain that life and standard at New Phyrexia).

Some people also have the money to.. I don't know about you but I like making decks out of what I have or what I can trade for.. Not by buying really expensive cards :p
