Just ban snappy already
Nnnnnnoooooooooooooooo!!!!

Sorry, but Wizards shouldn't have to design cards to be playable against one specific card.

And for that new kill spell.. what are the monocolor threats right now?

{Delver of Secrets}? {Thalia, Guardian of Thraben}? I can't think of any more.. Refresh my memory!

Your looking at the card wrong. This is bound to be better in formats like legacy or modern. It kills bob which is powerful in its own right. I doubt this card will see too much play in standard, but in modern where Bob is massive CA, expect it to be in a few lists.

It'll be better than {Doom blade} in a few years. 🕑

I don't agree. It's strictly worse than {go for the throat} gftt hits everything Cept artifacts. This doesn't hit multicolored cards or artifacts
I did say better than Doom Blade, didn't I?  ???  I thought did, but maybe I'm reading it wrong. :-\

Hehehehe

GFTT is rotating out and this card can take out Zombies, which is pretty big at the mo.

Willthomjr

Yeah you did say doom blade. I thought you were generalizing "2 cmc removal spell." It is indeed better than doom blade, but not as good as gftt.

How is it any better than {go for the throat}?  Man I hate to repeat myself, but no one seems to be answering me.

BlackJester

I agree that GFTT will be better in the format we are moving into, but we're also losing GFTT.

We're people saying the same thing about GFTT when Mirrodin was out?

"Man, this card can't kill ANY of the new artifact creature right now. T_T"

smokin terry

There will always be a better card that just rotated. Always.

smokin terry

{Smother} was better then both {doom blade} and {go for the throat}
{Profetic prism} was better then {sphere of the suns}

And if you dont like the restrictions then you have the option of {murder}.

Golgari Decoy 3{G}

Elf Rogue
All creatures able to block Golgari Decoy do so.

Scavenge 3{G}{G} (3{G}{G}, Exile this card from your graveyard: Put a number of +1/+1 counter's equal to this card's power on target creature. Scavenge only as a sorcery.)

It's possible for you to do it to yourself.  Why, I have no idea, but I could probably think of something... ({Narcomoeba}?)

Interesting that we are getting dimir stuff so early. Get your playsets early.

Your gain, their pain.
Probably don't do it against scavenge mechanic tho.
However doing it to yourself with along with the scavenge mechanic for some new fodder I guess...

BlackJester

Don't forget to pack your {Tormod's Crypt}. 😉

Hmmm. BUG scavenge. Interesting concept.

Edit: I wonder if it can be done cheaply enough, and with a little tempo/ramp could be good.
