Jester, come on, I know your combo wheels are spinning with that slick little {Faerie Imposter}..
I know thats not directed at me, but i see that one being good friends with {restoration angel} and {fiend hunter}. No to mention all the detain ability creatures.

Every card has a weakness, her weakness is printed all over her. 1) Cost. 2) Return those creatures to hand. 3) When can you cast her to benefit from its effects? 4) How many do you include in a deck? 5) body doesn't match CMC.

"Good in EDH" doesn't cut it. I'm guilty of it saying it too, there hasn't been a card printed that someone wont say is "good" in EDH.
{Haunting Echoes}
{Clarion Ultimatum}
{Retraced Image}
😜

Clarion ultimatum is pure ramp in EDH. I completely understand why it sucks now.

Is that sarcasm I smell, or just burning electrolytic capacitors in my lab.  I can't tell, they both smell the same.
-_-

On the off chance it IS sarcasm, 5 land for 7 mana, you're better of with {Boundless Realms}.  You'll probably hit more land, it's easier to cast, AND it can fetch colors you may not already have on the table.

Also, if you've already got {G}{G}{W}{W}{W}{U}{U}, you should be able to cast anything you want anyway.

*Boy I hope that's not burning caps, I'd better go and check* :o

Too many wheels a'spinnin' with this set.  I'm very behind on my writing, but I'm working on some stuff for you guys.

I've just been up late on my photo-antithetic dark energy collectors, and recovering from the lab 'incident'.  Be careful with your Tesla coil guns, kids!  Always wear a Faraday cup.   :o

It's making it so hard to choose between selesnya and golgari. Populate keeps getting great cards but the rarity makes it hard to choose it. Golgari seems like a safer choice.

You can run Growing Ranks in a Golgari deck with the GB planeswalker ultimate tokens 😝

Yes that is sarcasm.
Well, I'm glad we cleared that up.  And I still think it's unplayable in EDH, but I also admit to not playing EDH.  I'll defer to experts on this one.

It's awful. {cultivate} is better.

BlackJester

So, it turns out we were sorta right about {Last Word} in the first place:

I still don't get the {R} side of it, but then I never got the {U} side of the uncounterable DoJ. 😏

Still, better or worse than {Swift Silence}?

Coffee Vampire

In what situation would overload for this actually be useful? Whenver someone casts a spell, they wait to see if you let it resolve. Rarely do people cast spells in response to other spells they have played.

Can someone enlighted me on why there is overload for this? Just to give you more options, or will overload be useful in many situations and I am not seeing it?

This could stop storm right? Presumably.

Maximo

Definitely looks like it stops Storm and Replicate and to cause multiplayer shenanigans. But man, I'm gonna play it for sure.
