If I copy something like {Vorosh, the Hunter} with {The Mimeoplasm} does the Mimeoplasm give itself the counters, or {Vorosh, the Hunter}?

Exactly, so it would fizzle, if the other was true.

Whenever a card names itself in an activated ability, you can replace that name in the text with "this card" or "this creature." so you can read Vorash's text as "place 6 counters on this creature." So a copy of Vorash will also read "place 6 counters on this creature." implicating itself, the copy, not the original.

This also happens when you have more than one creature with the same name. They won't give the others the abilities that name themselves(except of it says each, other or all creatures with this name)
