Let me begin by apologizing to all loyal readers and givers of gifts.  My monkey jury went on strike when their supply of Banana Cognac ran out.  They unionized and now I have to pay them 37% more.  (I didn't pay them to begin with, but their union rep is terrible at math).  And then Neil Patrick Harris finally did show up and we ended up getting distracted with juggling (he's so awesome, btw)!

A lot of submissions were hitting this same note, but JaCe hit it just right.  Also worth noting that JaCe submitted a whole "Jester-matters" tribal set, hence the Jester lands and spells.

I srsly LOLed – SpiritedAway

Some people have been paying attention.  If you don't recognize this, it's a riff on {Sorrow's Path}, a card I argued was the worst magic card of all time... and then went on to build some combos around it.

Most likely to be a real card – Prophylaxis

It fits in nicely with my other toys (cap, mask, scepter, sombrero). He even managed to sneak in a thinly veiled phallic reference.  Kudos!

Moar Pahwar!!!1!1! (AKA "Did you keep the receipt, 'cause it's broken.") - Guypocolypse

So many tributes were tipping the scales of overpower, but Guypocolypse's entry was at once simple, funny, good in multiplayer, and just downright mean.  And also criminally broken.  Don't worry, I will give you a head start before alerting the authorities.

A Tasty Treat – SpiritedAway (again)

There's not much here for flavor, but then neither are Combos.  Still a useful and versatile combo piece that doesn't "play itself". I am still reeling with the possibilities of applications for this one!  Why an artifact combo card is {B}, I'll never know.

To the Victor go the Spoils - Chaosquirrel

Chaosquirrel dropped a big fat bomb here.  It ties in to the upcoming Ravnica block, and is capable of some nutty stuff, while fairly straightforward.  This one can get really out of hand in multiplayer, and allows me to pump allies if I choose, or to grab stuff from enemies.  The multicolor restriction keeps it in check, but can be abused with some shenanigans.  It didn't hurt that he placated my delicate ego, but that wasn't really a major factor in my choice.  This one just seemed to leap out of the page for me.

I want to wrap by thanking everyone for your fun submissions.  There were so many excellent cards and given more time I'd make'em all.  You did a fabulous job!  Hope you had a laugh too!

Thank you for the cards. Still sad mine didn't make the cut but I can see why. Wish there was a Black Jester PW though how much fun would that be? Play Black Jester PW, opponent scoops, you go awwww cuz the fun was about to begin.

I gotta tell you, it was tough judging this contest.  So many great submissions that it took me a long time to think about it.  Had I more time, I'd make all of the cards (and still might, it's ton's o' fun!).
