Im kind of new to imtg and i was wondering what is this karma thing like what does it mean and how do you get karma or loose karm (if u can)

Can someone please help me im confused

It's pretty much a point system that allows people to be like hey that was helpful! Thanks here's a karma point. Or that was mean or rude -1 karma for you. But basically it's kind of like a rating of the user by members of the forum haha

You can give positive or negative karma on the desktop website of IMTG. Anyone can do this. People may give positive karma to someone after a good trade, being helped on the forum by this person, etc. Someone may give negative karma to someone else after a bad trade, that person pissing him or her off on the forums, etc.

Karma is rarely given out. Few people have high karma values. I assume this is because you cannot given karma from the app. (I have never given out karma because I have never been to the desktop site)

Your karma that you see on your profile is: (positive karma) - (negative karma) = x. (x being your personal karma level)

I wouldn't pay much attention to karma if I were you. For trading, just look for them in the trusted traders thread.

You acctually can give karma from the iPod. You go help> desktop forum> and touch the link in BJ's post (second post on that page) and then go to a section and whoever you want to give karma to you find a post they made and click like (under their name) to give +1 karma or troll to give -1 karma

But not without going to the desktop website. Never said you couldn't go to the website on an ipod. :p

While on the subject, once you give someone a karma point (+ or -) you can't give that person another point for 24 hours.

It's a "cooling off" period to prevent people from jamming -ve karma at others.

I'm am having the hardest time with karma..........  If I go to the desktop forum (on my desktop or on my iPod) there is no like or troll button.  Its just:
