So, if there is a legendary creature out, and I cast {phantasmal image}, copying the legendary critter.  The real one goes to the graveyard?

So why is it that two mickeys can be out (unhallowed and lunarch) but not like garruk relentless and primal hunter?

Because those two legends have different names. Garruk 2.0 and 3.0 both have the same planeswalker type "garruk" hence they both die. If you put two unhallowed mickeys they both die and the same goes for lunarch.
