The best compliment creature without exalted is {knotvine paladin} and add stuff to give trample bc most exalted dont have trample and I don't think there is an exalted enabler for trample either. I suggest {rancor}

At first i was like, "But this is just the same as exalted without giving it too himself."
Then it dawned on me. Thats one awesome creature.

Since you are running full exalted, think of it as double exalted. And making it unblock able or trample is just plain cruel.

Is it worth throwing in {Dovreign of lost alara} into the mix with some enchants? Like {Rancor} for example.

Yes if that is the way you want to build it. I have at least one in my deck to search for {rancor} or {armored ascension}. Both make the paladin very scary.
