Elves vs goblins

I would say its because it is two almost complete decks that represent the two oldest tribes in the game. Also, I seriously think that the set expansion symbol is so cool, people pay extra for it. Everything everyone has said is true as well. There's a lot of factors that go into a card or cards being worth good money.
