Haha actually they tend to have patterns that's why people map the boxes haha. The shopkeeper was telling if I pull a cavern then I'd should expect more goodies but hey no cavern and still pretty good :D

I say heresy! I've heard stories of it either being hit or miss with AVR boxes. You either get really good  or just 

I'm pretty sure that the days of box mapping are over.  It used to be the case, but they have gone to further lengths to randomize their system.

Ahhh!  I'm not sure on this, and if anyone else knows I'd love to hear it, but I thought that rares were printed at the same frequency, uncommons were printed at the same frequency, and commons were printed at the same frequency.

Now they decide the number of cards to print based on how many fit on a print sheet.

I was talkin about mythics, foil rares, foil mythics. Ya know, the reason we all buy a pack...to open a foil {tamiyo, the moon sage} :)

I miss Home Improvement. It was just such a good, quality show that everyone could enjoy. You don't see that anymore.

Anyway, as for topic, I know nothing about box mapping or patterns, but my personal experience with AVR has been good. Everyone I know says they got either a decent or good box, and the one I split with friends was pretty nice ({Cavern of Souls}, {Bonfire of the damned}, 2 {Vexing Devil}s, {Silverblade Paladid}, 2 {Terminus}, and various other $2-3 goodies). It just seems like there are a lot of solid boxes out there.

Also I've noticed that every booster box I've ever opened has had exactly 4 mythic rares. Is this just luck of the draw, or are boxes somehow hard-wired to have no more or less than 4 mythic rares hiding inside?
