When I first started dating my gf now of almost 3 years, the second we labeled each other boyfriend/girlfriend, I told her all the things about me. My obsession with Transformers, my nerd nights playing MtG and video games with my bros, my movie fascinations, my medieval novel writing, etc.  granted I thought she would give me the "what the fudge did I get myself into?" look, but she then went on with her list of things she likes, aka obsessed with Disney and reading and baking,etc. So honestly, you need to be upfront at the beginning because you want the person to like you for who you are and that hiding stuff means you are taking the conscious act to hide it bc you don't think or "know" that she will be accepting of you. My girlfriend has actually embraced the things I like and actually feeds my obsession (she bought me an Energon Omega Supreme.... Google it....that thing is a HUGE!) ....(that's what she said...😝)
Damn, I am ranting. Hate when that happens. Anyway, you need someone to like you for who you are.

My girlfriend was skeptical at first, but I built her an angel deck, "because she is my angel," and now she loves it. She even bought me a {Gisela, Blade of Goldnight}, for my birthday. She even let's me go to tournaments. Get a gf that likes it and dont let her go man.

She was in labor for two days. They didn't expect her to have my son until the next day so she said I could go since this was the last qualifier for a long time.

It payed off because I qualified. Lol

I felt bad when I got the call, but I was in the last round so I didn't miss much.

I was this punk skater kid in HS and somehow my first GF was one of the hottest girls in school who was a grade ahead of me, the head cheerleader, and used to date the head football player.  So you can imagine I fell head over heels in love with this chick.  Very painful when she started cheating on me when she went to college but that is life man and remember your best years really are not HS by a long shot ;)

So much wisdom and good feeling hearing. I'm newer to magic, have had my girlfriend well before I owned a single card, and yea, she wasn't hugely into it at first. One day, while digging through some singles I found an old {moon sprite}.  The quote text made me think of her, so I bought it. I then slowly collected and made her a faerie deck. Now, she loves playing. Anytime I start a new deck idea, she insists I play her until she beats me twice. Not hard, it's a good all flying deck, but she enjoys it. We went our first prerelease together, and that got her more into it. She did better than me, and found a cash buyer for my foil Elesh Norn. I will never leave home without her again. :)
