Off topic discussion

Just an idea because I don't think we have enough topics.  Maybe start an off topic discussion. It seems people here are very opinionated, me being one of them. My idea is to have a place where you can take a comment to a new section so you do not hijack the original topic. But there is a must be rational and not disrespectful. I like the recent debates we have. IMO it helps open perspective to each other. Sorry for being long winded

Right now that is only something mods can do. We want to avoid members deleting/mod'ing/or otherwise hijacking other peoples posts.

Feel free to start a new thread and point people to it.

The problem is there isnt really a place to put that thread. It's all decklists or trading. Can you make a new section for us to put that stuff under?

The reason I said this is because someone before complained that the general discussion should be magic related. I didn't want it to give anyone power to move topics just to click a quote and make a new topic in another section. This way the general discussion doesn't get spammed with crap people may not want to read about.

Rass, would you like to have the power to ban people? Remember, with great power comes great responsibility (I like this one much more than 'great power corrupts greatly'), you would be banning yourself for them too.

2. Reason is to keep general discussion to magic related things. (do people who don't care about it don't have to check it out)

3. So I don't hijack another post and have one of you guys have to split it.


To me this place is fun. I do not want to have to work on it. I appreciate what you and all the mods do. It's a thankless job.

We get our thanks from time to time, it's just not the reason we do it.

Like I mentioned in another post. Have a few more mods to help bj and the other mods clean up the "messy" parts. 

Maybe not with the same powers as bj or the global mods. Maybe make section mods to watch specific forums.

Actually I'm pretty sure that the only one is prophylaxis...bit I haven't seen him around here in a while!
