Building a Vampire deck got me inspired to get back into MtG.

{Vampire Nocturnus} is my hero!!!!

Wow a vamp deck got me into mtg...that's really funny. xD With me it was the "Vampire Onslaught" event deck. You actually have the {Verdant Catacombs} that came with it. lol

Slightly, I live the wolves and flipping mechanic, just dislike the lack of support for wolves and how they lack the punch to be really competitive.

I feel the same about zombies. They super turbo charged humans, and make zombies and wolves kinda weaker. They did add {wolfir silverheart} and {wolfir avenger}. Spirits are nice though.

I agree I thought that there would have been a little more help for wolves/werewolves to make them more competive and to help keep zombies competive.

Especially after both tribes got such nice boosts last set. Almost brought them up to being competitive in tier 2.

Zombies made it to tier 1 play, but that will change once {pillar of flames} catches on.

The vampire onslaught event is what drug me into this addictive money pit as well
It's also tainted my view of the event decks. I now compare all the event decks to that one and none come close

From what I hav seen, not really. Pillar of flames is making it's way into my side board to take care of those buff undying vamps.
