 {Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts} is very annoying and powerful. Try a search, I'm sure there's plenty of cool ones depending on the theme you're going for.

I'm going for a life gain deck commander deck. I have a sixty card variant of it that is absolutely beastly. I already grabbed me a Teysa for the commander deck but she doesn't gain me life.

If you don't mind a splash of blue {Oloro, ageless asstetic} isn't bad. There's a guy in my group o friends that gains crazy life. We'll all be around low thirtys just plink plink plinkin away and he'll be sitting there all quiet like with his 50+ life.

Ayli does have the benefit of an added control function over Oloro. The option to exile things is quite powerful. Pure lifegain is not that great in commander, as even with 100k life you can lose the game in so many ways.

Yeah. I know I need other things than life gain. It's why I have cards like Defiant Bloodlord, Accursed Witch, Teysa and even Resolute Archangel in my BW deck. Will definitely add Athreos though.

That's a little bit older than I have access to. I've only been playing since 2013. I have {Harsh Sustenance} in it's place though. Will definitely scour the local card shops for one though.
