I find the nature of {Shahrazad} interesting, especially considering its set. I don't know if any of you have ever read the Arabian nights (10/10 would rec) but in many of the stories a tale is told and then it ends with the character in the story telling a tale, in which one of their characters tells a tale, and so on. Shahrazad starts a magic game within a magic game, just like the tales. Perhaps wizards has read these too?
Idk. Food for thought

Yes, in fact most of the favor text from the set is straight from various Arbian Nights translations.

Exactly ^^ Garfield designed the set with this in mind and that's why there's a lot of strange cards in the set.

People are so happy Arabian Nights had no basics. If AN or Homelands would have had, it and  {Apocalypse Chime} would be either legacy staples or banned.

"Cards originally printed" weren't basic lands pqrinted in alpha and beta?
Originally printed in said expansions. Both Homelands & Arabian Nights do not have basic land printings.

Arabian Nights printed a mountain by mistake

That's true. Forgot that.

I checked the card's comp. rule entry (700.6 is devoted to the three cards that do things for cards from a certain set). In that one, mountain is not named.
Since those sets predate the reprints, I'm uncertain if that omission comes from the fact the mountain wasn't supposed to be in there, or the fact that it's a reprint.
