Will the battalion trigger as its a when attacks trigger and so is the Geist a when attacks trigger. Will I get the first strike and trample from the loyalist

No.

When you declare attackers, there are only {Legion Loyalist} and {Geist of Saint Traft} around. Therefore, the loyalist's ability is not triggered.
