Everyone keeps saying that Tron and Affinity will dominate now. Yeah, everyone said the same thing about Abzan once Pod was banned.

The reason WotC banned Twin was because it was limiting deck diversity. Blue control decks always turned into Twin because having an "I win" button if your opponent ever tapped out turned out to be really good. Now, we might see different blue decks emerge with different win conditions, and maybe one or more of them will stand up to Tron.

Affinity and tron are "unfair" though whereas Abzan is the epitamy of "fair"

Plus tron gets a huge boost in OGW with {Warping Wail} and affinity is always op lol

I would've liked an unbanning (sword of the meek) but I'm OK with this.

Affinity is so easy to hate it won't do as well as you think. And people are running Affinity hate as incidental because most of it hits Tron as well.

I think Merfolk, Burn and Zoo have a chance to do well.

Lol gotta love a reprint of twin in mm2 and now it gets banned.

So happy with this ban!!!! The only two deck I had a stupidly hard time beating are gone!!!
Long live 8-rack :P

And before I get hate, I understand some players don't like the decision! And I hope they find decks they enjoy as much as the ones they just lost!
But I've never Had fun against bloom or twin! A always get beaten in turn 3-4 by them!

I've only become familiar with eternal formats in the last year or so:

How often are there bans for legacy that completely remove a deck in comparison to modern?

Seems like birthing pod, twin and summerbloom, eggs were all decks that simply were done after a single banning of a piece
