{true-name nemesis}

{golgari charm}

I sort of kid....

Charm is not legal in this format.

WELL NEITHER IS TRUE NAME! :P
If you include supplemental products. FTV products would be too... I think the new formats would struggle with the power in those..

Would it be too much work to ban the offenders?
It's less work to not include supplements. I get your point however.

That wasn't sarcastic, that was a serious question. I just really like some of the commander deck cards and would love to build around them.

Only would work for m15 + block sets

No special product

LinkCelestrial

Seems fair. I'll agree.

Just realized this is a must for the format to live.
DD Anthologies is printed in M15 border. I don't think you want {daze}

Yeah {Daze} would be painful when there are no real two mana counterspells in the "format"

Oh wow very true. Have to be core products. In a few years, it could really be a format...

Do you think that if "newer modern" becomes a thing that they will put a time line lock on Old Modern? Like 8th edition to Magic 2015 and then from modern 2015 to current.

I highly doubt it. I see it more how legacy except only expansions.

Kaylesh

Yeah, that would cause riots. Modern as we know it would become a dying format. Without new cards the meta will set itself. Not to mention secondary market prospects for all those modern staples. They wouldn't plummet overnight, but I don't think many people would buy into the format anymore.
It would become like a huge block constructed, and how many people play that?

That is very true. Shock lands wouldn't be used anywhere besides old modern and causal. Vice versa the khans fetches and tango duels would skyrocket because they'd be the go to lands for the new modern
