Simple answer, yes. With the Engine you may add up to two counters since it proliferates twice.

Simple answer, yes. With the Engine you may add up to two counters since it proliferates twice.

It doesn't double however, if that's what you'd want. Proliferate adds 1 counter of a kind already on a permanent. It does include loyalty counters. {Gilder Bairn} will double.

I run one in my Esper superfriends. I really can't decide if it's better than {The Chain Ceil}...the slow board wipe is very nice.

Check {Doubling Season} in the card database. Ruling there is, PW comes in with twice the number of loyalty counters, but activating loyalty counters is a "cost" and not an effect, thereby nullifying the acceleration effect you're trying for. Other than the initial doubling, the other proposed cards accelerate as you want.

Thing is, {doubling season} does accelerate. Upon entering the field. Without it, your looking at slower accelerators, such as proliferate & Bairn.
All mentioned accelerators, besides {chain veil}, do not work directly with the activation of loyalty abilities.

I made à deck with all the Walker i picked up through the Time. I dont find the chaîned veil supereffextive. I most l'y use proliférate with steady progress tezzeret gambit and my favorite one : thummingbird.

Both {contagion engine} & {the chain veil} can create infinite loops. However, the veil does also allow you extra ability activations.
