I have a {wurmcoil engine} on the field and I {pit fight} an opponents {Vampire Nighthawk} that has first strike. What happens lol? I don't think first strike matters because it isn't in combat, but would the lifelink and deathtouch deal lethal to my wurmcoil and would both of us gain life? I am a little puzzled on this one lol

702.2c A creature with toughness greater than 0 that's been dealt damage by a source with deathtouch since the last time state-based actions were checked is destroyed as a state-based action.

702.15b Damage dealt by a source with lifelink causes that source's controller, or its owner if it has no controller, to gain that much life (in addition to any other results that damage causes).

Note that neither of these rules say combat damage. Just damage.

702.7a First strike is a static ability that modifies the rules for the combat damage step.

First strike is only relevant during combat. During a {pit fight} resolution it means nothing.
