So I feel {Shipwreck Siren}'s first ability is a little out of color traits for blue? I feel it should be tap target creature to be blue...? Target creature attacks is more red isn't it?

Lure effects are more green, but still in blues color pie.

It's also mostly for Flavor.  Sirens call sailors to their deaths through song, where this one lures weenies to exploding to her other activated ability.

...Siren...lures weenies...exploding to her...ability.

Wow, what a game we play...

Maybe that wasn't the best phrasing, but my point remains.

Oh yeah I totally get the flavour aspect (I'm more about the flavour in MtG than anything else, a card can be absolute shight play wise but if the flavour game is strong Im a big fan), I just it was out of character in today's game. In the day there were many colour pie bleeding things on cards, but I read somewhere once (no link sorry, it was a while ago) that they're trying to solidify the colour pie characteristics more and more as the years go on.

Anyway, loved reading through the discussion! I was just interested in your thoughts. I especially liked the Sirens exploding heads.

Also, {Bident of Thassa}, in the same set, also had an ability that caused opposing creature to have to attack.  It think it fits mostly into the 'Mind Manipulation' of Blue than anything, really.  Green's bit is more forcing things to block.
