Debating getting into standard again with mono red. I would use something that looked like this:

4 {monastery swiftspear}
4 {abbot of keral keep}
3 {Zurgo bell striker}
2 {goblin glory chaser}
2 {goblin heel cutter}
2 {lightning berserker}
17 creatures

4 {dragon fodder}
4 {wild slash}
4 {exquisite fire craft}
4 {atarka's command}
3 {hordeling outburst}
1 {roast}
1 {fiery impulse}
1 {become immense}
22 instants/sorceries

4 {wooded foothills}
2 {windswept heath}
4 {cinder glade}
1 {forest}
10 {mountain}
21 lands

Zada + {become immense}?

Zada will copy it upon cast for each creature. {G}: all creatures get +6/+6 upon cast unless a counter is played for that creature. Sounds like win.

Zada:
{3}{R} legendary goblin 3/3. When you cast an instant or sorcery that only targets Zedra, copy it for each creature you control targeting that creature.

You just made me laugh out loud, it would certainly take my opponents by surprise xD.

That said, 4 mana is a bit much for this kind of deck though, especially for a 3/3 that doesn't do a whole lot on it's own.

Note that even countering the original {become immense} will not counter the others. You would need something like {stifle} to counter zada's ability, or counter each copy individually on the stack.

Yeah, that's the beauty of it.. With the hasty creature manadork and some cheap R/G weenie stuff this might be viable in BFZ standard...

Kaalia with haste

Probably not. 4 mana 3/3s are too easy to disrupt, and it's a lot of work to set up something that can just be chump blocked

Codester1991

Probably not relevant towards this original post but I could see Zada in a Naya manifest deck where you flip him then become immense him and make all your morphs giant 8/8's

Yall know, your traditional morph/manifest package. Whisper wood elemental, mastery of unseen, den protector, deathmist, Zada, Etc

For the same reason they didn't reprint a 1 drop mana dork. Too good for standard.
