So, looking through spoilers, we're getting a new dual land cycle, {Smoldering Marsh} (Swamp Mountain comes in tapped unless you control 2 or more basics - Slow Duals will be what I call them). But I also noted another land yesterday that was {Lumbering Falls}(Land that produces blue or green mana, and can animate - Animate Lands is what I call them). Why would they be doing this? It seems odd to have 2 land cycles like that, unless I'm missing something.

It is zendikar and landfall was a big mechanic so lands were important so I imagin they were thinking that this would make land another important mechanic in zendikar

Lumbering falls already have a name buddy they're called Man Lands :)

And new lands are tango lands. Why?  It takes 2 to tango. XD

I prefer Discount Double-Check Lands.  They cost less than original Duals (Discount) and check for TWO (Double Check) basics.

redwolv

I like slow lands cause we have fast lands.which do the opposite.

That doesn't really roll off the tongue though

Neither does tango lands. These lands will forever be known as the lands no one could agree upon a name for.

Mr_Fahrenheit

Ever played against a new player? It is bad enough having to explain what a shock land is. But at least the definition is relevant to magic. Tango is just .... stupid.

LinkCelestrial

Lag lands. Cause they come down slowly.

LAG LANDS! Rolls off th tongue and makes sense. Also short enough to type.

Rass

These lands will work great in mono color decks.
