Brand new to this and I have a small card collection but I don't know how to add them to my card collection on iMtG. Any and all help would be appreciated.

The only way I know of to do it is to go through and add them manually. Oh, and welcome!

What I'm doing is add the cards to "my precious" binder by going to the card database, searching for the card, then add the edition I have.
You can swipe the bar under the card until you see the "my precious" binder, then tap the numbers.
If you want to add a deck, you can also do so through this method, just use the lower bar with decks.

I know about importing decks from Decked Builder format from your Dropbox, but that's just me ;)

App supports .dec format right?

Yes, and .dec format is based on Apprentice format. Decked Builder's extension of this format is also supported.

Imports don't ever work for me.

When I'm finished with them, they always work for me. All I need to do is to put some effort into making my file right ;)

Splicer

How do you make the file any better?

Piotr

I would have to google for the details of the format for you as I do not have them at hand. For purposes of iMtG these were reverse engineered as no spec exists.

The other way I know, and it is not just me, is to download the deck from link in Gathering, this very forum. You do not seem to know an awful lot ;)

Splicer

Lol but that isn't building a deck, that's testing someone else's.

Piotr

In Magic Binders, you can export any binder to CSV by emailing it to yourself. It will teach you the format your CSV file needs to be in, when you are preparing your collection for import via iTunes desktop app.

Almost as 'building a deck' is not the same as 'importing collection'? ;)

Splicer

Exactly. You can only get decks like this, not binders.
