can I not pay Phyrexian mana costs with life if I control {Platinum Emperion}?

Example of Phyrexian mana:
{Phyrexian Metamorph}

You cannot pay. You will have to use the appropriate mana cost.
1/1/2011: You can't pay a cost that includes the payment of any amount of life other than 0 life.
