Why no {counterspell}?

I only run the 2 tuck counterspells.  The deck does not need a lot of countermagic is why I think he is not running counterspell.  The FoW is a nice add though

{Arcane Denial} in this deck basically reads {1}{U}: Counter target spell. Draw a card at the next upkeep.
Because with Nekusar and pain effects on the field, who really wants to draw extra cards?
And it's easier to have {1}{U} open than {U}{U}.
They won't expect it.

I tried it. Didn't care for it.  {Grafted Exoskeleton} is better. And dirtier. Especially combined with Puzzle Box when someone has an arbitrary large number of life
