Let's talk about it
I'm considering taking this to FNM tonight and games day and then star city LA depending on how FNM plays out. I've main decked {eidolon of the great revel} due to so many aggressive decks being played and how quickly control decks must respond. I've sided {lightning strike} over {eidolon of the great revel} because I have included a playset of {wild slash} to add early aggro removal and burn. And since I am running only 17 lands (of which 8 are fetch), I've decided that a 1 drop burn can triumph over a 2 drop lightning strike and help keep the pressure on an opponent. This deck wants to stop playing lands a 3-4 to work properly. However, if I need to increase the curve of the deck, I've included an additional mountain in the SB tech, seeing as many of the SB cards will drastically increase my overall requirement for lands. If I play against primarily control decks, {collateral damage} can replace {wild slash} and avoid {bile blight}. I've included a playset of each standard red fetch because I only draw lands... Ever... It's my curse in the game. I've also lowers {dragon mantle} to a 1 of. I wanted to run a playset because it's a great card, but I draw too many creature required spells and not enough creatures so I made a sacrifice; but after all, I'm still play testing. Also, seeing as I run a playset of each {akroan crusader} and {satyr hoplite} I'm running 2 {coordinated assault} for more fun surprises, so there are plenty of targeting instants and enchantments that remain. Everything else I'm sure you get the idea. Any advice will be appreciated. And tested. Give me your worst.

I got squashed. I went 2-3 at FNM. Ashiok hit an eidolon each time and turned it against me while also collecting all of the lands in needed to play. Hands consist of too many 2-3 drops with 1 land which required to mulligan. When I did get the 1 drops rolling, they were quickly dealt with life gain aggro decks such as BW warriors, abzan aggro, anything that can use {feed the clan}(and they did), main decked {drown in sorrow}, {bile blight}, and sideboard {pahrika's curse}. For all of those who are trying to make this work, mono red aggro may not make it, but I'm not done trying. I'm going to sideboard the 4 {eidolon of the great revel}s and replace with 3 lightning strikes, remove 3 {goblin rabblemaster}, add 2 {hordeling outburst} and add the mountain from the sideboard to the main and see how that runs.
