lets say I  {Ensoul Artifact} On a  {Gilded Lotus} Can I still tap it for its mana?

I believe it's a yes but would like to confirm. Thanks.

Yes but not if you played them both the same turn.

What cltrn is saying is if you play {Gilded Lotus} it technically has summoning sickness until it goes through an untap step under your control. However being as it's not a creature it's not affected by it, unless you slap {Ensoul Artifact} on it.

and that wont happen if you just enchant it {Ensoul Artifact} anytime, it's only a sick creature if it becomes a creature then turn it enters the battlefield. If you played the  {Gilded Lotus} this turn, and then on your next turn you Ensoul it, it wont be sick and can attack or tap for mana already. (complementing Links explanation)

Good job, Link! (complimenting Links explanation)

Of course you could cast {Gilded Lotus} then tap it to cast {Ensoul Artifact} and then there aren't any problems. :P
