Personally I've been cutting the creatures for more quality kill spells. Also, {Elspeth Sun's Champion} is amazing against WIlson's Abzan list out of the board, and the newest Sorin helps out against all your aggro matches, so I've been running it as a one-of.

You running hierarch or BoP to ramp up to 6 mana?  I can see the value elspeth brings but 6 mana...

I definitely noticed this is very creature heavy.  I think anafeza will come out.  I do like the single sorin idea.  I made this list to capitalize on tasigurs ability so it is almost guaranteeing me value.  About the worst thing people can give me back is TS of IoK if their hand is depleted.

True about the single EtB.  But the value of bouncing rhino even once is huge.....that is a 12 point life swing when you count the first time he enters.  Resto is a counterspell for removal as well or saving a chump blocker or something.  Not sold on resto but it is a consideration.  Dat flying too

My store is finally doing modern FNM.  Here is what I will be piloting on February 27th. 

Not sure what to expect so my SB is kinda random shots against top tier decks.  Opinions on SB if I missed anything.

I would include a wrath or two, all the pod players switched to Wilson's list and Tokens isn't too expensive and both are bad matchups.

I put {deathmark} to deal with other Abzan lists.  I figure I can win that race if I SB in those.  You would rather have the wrath effect tho?  Maybe I'll add 2 but what to take out?

I really dislike {Deathmark} because it's sorcery speed. Sadly Junk doesn't have too many ways of effectively dealing with that deck (Hence why Wilson did so well)...

Updated list I am bringing to FNM this week.

I ended up going last night and got 1st place!  I played the mirror match at last match and we probably spent 2 hrs at least between the 3 games.

We played in round 2 and went to time on the second match.  My final record was 5-0 and the 1 draw in round 2.


What won me both of games in the final match was largely because of ultimates on lily.  the final win was also atributted to tasigur card advantage.  It was a good time to say the least

Thanks, it felt good....especially since we had an audience of about 30 people coming out of the standard FNM watching us finish.

Tasigur only did work for me in that final game.....and man was he good.....I just did not see him in the other games
