colorless mana?

ive read on certain cards saying that unused mana becomes colorless or what not...  does colorless mana empty from your mana pool at the end of every turn?

It is no different than colored mana besides the fact that it lacks color, all of the same rules apply to it. I'd also like to note that mana empties after every phase, not turn. Certain cards like {Omnath, Locus of Mana} bend the rule of the mana pool emptying though.
