This is Jim Davis' list I just swapped Grindclock for PLA as a trial.

I know I hate PLA but Grindclock is actually better vs GY strats IMO it's a way for me to control them more. I don't just do it for 3 I let it tick up and up and hit them for 6+ plus the delve spells I care about are precisely 1 DTT but I don't even mind them digging bc it helps mill lol. Now with Ugin in the format most ppl will be going to 1 or 0 PLA and running Ugin this is perfect bc Ugin is easy to deal with and ugins -X doesn't even hit GC! Idk I get what you're saying but for the time being I'll test with GC the only thing that scares me is Whip but they rarely resolve it

Looks pretty solid. Four {Nullify} seems a bit excessive. As does three {Elspeth, Suns Champion}. I'd think that {Perilous Vault} would slit in over {Fated Retribution}. What made you pick U/W over U/B? I really want to make Esper work. Also can I see a sideboard?

4 {Nullify} is a meta game call but is great this deck is not good vs early critters so having a T2 Nullify for that lion is great.

3 Elspeth can easily be 2 Elspeth 1 {Resolute Archangel}

I have found that UW is just better your win cons are miles ahead of UB like Elspeth > Silumgar. But UB is still sweet and I guess it's preference but I just like UW

Gotcha. My Mono Blue list runs two but has two more in sideboard just in case.

NO!!!! Lol don't do Esper the mana is sooooooo bad and it's not as strong as UW or UB both decks have answers to everything don't get greedy and try both bc it's not good

{Evolving Wilds} is my Tri and I have temples and fetches. Gain lands too if I'm feeling adventurous.

Reason why it's not good and why E Wilds isn't good enough is bc you want BB for downfall on 3 WW for End on 5 and UU for dissolve at all times. Also tap lands hurt more than they help bc you want to stop their early turns.
