At my lgs people want to do this, I know it's not a great idea but I actually can't think of the reasons to tell them why it won't work. Can you guys help me out with that?

The set is not designed to be drafted as 3x FTF, it is designed to be drafted as FTF, KTK, KTK, and drafting it standalone will distort the draft, lead to a completely different environment, and could be unbalanced. That said, I love drafting new sets, and it is release day, so I'd go 3x FTF all day.

You can draft three of anything. How it's designed won't matter. And unlike sealed you're not completely screwed if you get bad pulls. As a set I'd rather pull cards from FTF, but I'd rather draft KTK.

MTGO will have triple Fate drafts for the release. Our store is doing it tomorrow. Nothing wrong with it.

You will see when you do it there is something wrong with it. Being such a small set, the similarity of cards is so high. Last night in our triple fate draft, one player had 5 {goblin heelcutter}, and in another pod someone had 4 {mardu scout}s. I mean it's still doable, but definitely not as good as using some khans packs as well.

No idea what you did llama cards not linking. 😝😝😝😝

Undefeated last night
4 arashin clerics
4 1/1 white flyer for 1
4 sandblasts
1 lifeform
1 reverse damage spell
5 soul summons
1 monastery mentor
1 artifact that has lore counters
1 hero blade
1 wardscale dragon

point proven ;)

Sure YOU went undefeated but other people lost. There are just as many losses as wins.

The point is that the deck and format is way too consistent

I still fondly remember watching the LoadingReadyRun folks draft the {Charging Badger} {Raised By Wolves} deck in triple BNG. Proof that 3x small sets should not usually be drafted.
