A site I saw did a simulation of 6000+ boxes and came up with ~280 tcg mid.

Two very different numbers.

Regardless, I ordered two boxes for probably $480. It depends on Llama's haggling skillz if it'll be lower. One is to draft, one is a deal I made with my fantastic grandmother that she's paying for. It's an investment and I'll sit on it for a few years.

I would rather just buy the packs then. Unless you can't find them for under $12

With mms1, as soon as it was announced I ran up to my game store and asked if I could preorder. They said they were doing it for MSRP at the moment. I talked to them into a little bit lower, because I didn't have that much money and I was one of their valued customers. Week of release it shot up to 280 or whatever.

Fast forward to now, they are not doing preorders at all because of me.  B)

You think that is bad. Before the store that i now frequent opened the only place to get anything was a comic book store. They let people pre order FTV20 for $70 (Australian currency, when our dollar was strong, which was pretty close to MSRP at the time). Then they realised what was in it, cancelled all pre orders and sold it for $300. It pissed a lot of people off and was one of the reasons a lot of the players migrated to the new store when it opened.

Can they actually do that? Well, yeah ofc since payment on delivery...

Mr_Fahrenheit

They can and did. I mean, I understand they are a business and need to make money. Hence i would have been happy to pay  $100, even $120 would have been acceptable. I could even see $150 getting them some sales albeit not from me. But $300? It was disgraceful.

LinkCelestrial

Especially considering that you were locked in at $70. A 400% increase is BS.

MuggyWuggy

Ugh I have 2 boxes sitting in front me.

I wanna crack dat shiet
