So suppose I have {hardened scales} and {Cathars' Crusade} on the battlefield.  If I cast {increasing devotion} would all 5 tokens get 10 counters each, or would hardened scales see it as only 1 ability?

Kaylesh

They enter at the same time and see each other enter right? And Crusade would trigger once for each creature entering.
So I see 5 triggers, triggering {hardened scales} 5 times.
Scary if you cast it for its flashback.

EDIT: note the ruling on {cathar's crusade} says the entering creature will get a counter too.

3 card combo, 5 cost = 5 11/11s?

Legit?

Now add  {Doubling Season}!  10 tokens and with harden scales and ds they would combo trigger forever on one another! So 4 card combo cost 5 for 10 infin/infin!

Flashback for 9 to get 20 more!

Missing something. Why would they become inf/inf? Yes doubling season doubles tokens and counters, but that would not create a loop right?
(Besides, If an infinite loop is created, the game is a draw)

Kaylesh, that is only true if all parts of the loop are mandatory. If anything is optional, you can still go infinite and then just stop when the desired result is achieved.

True. Like I said, I am missing the clue. I apperently even miss the "may".

Still not seeing how they can go infinite. Doubling season and hardened scales create replacement effects, not triggers. They can't bounce back and forth, they are each applied once per event, as the effect that adds counters is placing them (cathar's crusade)

That's exactly how I saw it. But on codein right now for bad pain, that's why I wondered
