New really stupid idea, instead of liking posts we should neg them. That way people without karma are bad and people with massively low numbers are cool. Of course newbies get a 100 point head start on some of ya'll but hey.

Guess llama and gorzo are in for a challenge now lmao

Even more of a reason to leave it the way most people want it? Seeing as it isn't a business so it doesn't matter as much....

I still don't get what subtracting 100 from everyone's karma actually accomplishes.

It allows me to see people who don't get it.

So to punish us did you remove karma entirely? Now it only shows on our profiles..

Did I or did I not 'remove karma entirely'? 10 days ban for incorrect answer.

Karma is not visible on posts with 100 or more positive karma. For people who are under 100 karma, their number appears as the distance they need to go. For example, if I have 40 karma, it will display on posts as -60 karma. If you have actual negative karma (are below 0 on your profile page), your number will appear as -100 +(-x) where x is the number of negative karma you have. All players karma can be viewed on their profile page. This number will display the number before the shift on posts, so Gorzo will be at 400 or wherever he is. People in the negative will appear as their negative, not their negative +(-100).

Obviously, this is your app and you are free to do what you like, but the ban was a bit rash, even if {{GlowackAttack}}'s post was a little out of line. Also, in my opinion, banning over something so small stirs up the community and may discourage new users. Is there another way this could be handled (not a rhetorical question, an honest inquiry)? That said, I honestly didn't notice the change until I read {{5/9 Turtle}}'s post, I assumed someone had necroed a thread from the first time Karma changed. The change is probably a positive or neutral change, karma really doesn't effect anything and if someone really wants to see if another user is 'trustworthy' they can still check their profile (not that karma really determines that). Although, I do see the point that others are making, maybe -100 to 0 will discourage new people, is there a way we can convert that into titles (for example, someone with -100 to -90 karma could be "Beginner", -89 to -80 a "Novice", etc.)?

Don't you think that's  a little far? It seems to be that if what he says you don't agree with you are going to 10 day ban him. You banning him because he doesn't agree with your views seems a little over the top. That's what dictators do they get rid of people who don't agree with them, by you saying that you're starting to become a dictator. Do you really want this to happen?
