So obviously this would be kinda like a dream hand scenario.

Mountain {Monastery Swiftspear} swing for 1
Mountain {Titan's strength} X2 swing for 9
T3 do whatever swift spear is amazing?

Is this how standard {R} works pretty much?

RDW was in finals for GPLA

So red is not dead

Red Deck wins will always be a thing which is sad bc magic should be won by skill ...

It is won by skill. In building a deck that can beat it.

And playing a RDW does take skill. It make look simple to pilot, but it isn't. Playing the wrong creature, playing the wrong spell at the wrong time, attacking when you shouldn't... One mistake like that and the other deck will  {Decimate} you. You have to sequence your plays in the proper order, or you will lose.

This. It takes a lot more skill than most people think. Also takes skill to build the correct version of it...

I respectfully disagree :D I agree that it's powerful and definitely Tier 1 but it'll be hard to convince me the skills aspect ... Sorry if I annoy you guys lol :(

Build the deck and play 20 or more games with it. Then you will start to see the subtleties with the deck and how "brainless" it really is. Don't knock something until you try it... 😜
It's all good Mattao... Just everyone voicing their opinions.
On another note: Great article on SCG from Anthony Lowry on the very subject we are discussing: http://www.starcitygames.com/article/29551_How-To-Attack.html

I understand that in every deck there's different plays that aren't obvious but {Titans Strength} on your upkeep doesn't make you a genius lol

Destore117

Still. It can be dealt with something as simple as  {Ulcerate} or  {Magma Spray} (obviously. Depending on plays.)

Although
3 life for a stupid 1 drop with a spear is quite annoying XD

Neither does {dissolve} your threat...

Lol true but dissolving the wrong thing is wrong so it still takes more skill than titans stretching on upkeep. Sometimes you let them have a wingmate roc and then you end next turn and sometimes you counter a dumb spell just for the scry

Pretty sure wizards designed this game for all different MO's of play style, neither is more appropriate than the other
