i think I know the answer but that usually gets me into trouble.

If you use, say {hunter's ambush}, would that prevent damage from a multi colored creature with green in it, or not because it is, well, green as well as bla bla bla?

it is indeed green. the fact that hes multicolored doesnt mean hes not green.
